Angel's Hem
I did not reach my hand,
knowing well the uselessness of such,
but only watched with widened eye
as she passed...
Her hem an aurora's glow on my horizon,
diaphanous,
transparent as the truth she bore, going on her way,
where, I did not know,
Did not need that I should know
but only watched with widened eye
as she passed,
a sudden sweep of lavender light,
Her hem an aurora's glow
...then gone.
