MORAVIAN FALLS, NC

JUNE 2, 2013

As we traveled through western North Carolina, Carl and I took a small side excursion to see Moravian Falls.

In 1752 the Moravians purchased a tract of almost 100,000 acres, which they called the Wachovia Tract.  The

whole area was dedicated to God and they continued the 100 year promise to have prayer 24 hours a day, a

man and a woman each taking one hour of the day.  There is a quiet sanctity about the place and it has a

very interesting history, which may easily be looked up.

Carl got interested in talking with a couple from upstate NY so I went off toward the other side of the stream to some higher places there where I wanted to take some more pictures.
