SPRING FLOWER SHOW

AT PHIPPS CONSERVATORY, APRIL 7, 2013

This Sunday was Carl's and my 34th anniversary and in the early afternoon we went to Phipps for the last day

of the spring flower show.  Phipps was started in 1893 as a gift to the city of Pittsburgh from steel baron, Henry

Phipps.

This is the main entrance but shows only a small portion of the conservatory.  I took it from where we parked.

These are the small daffodils lining either side of the entry walk. That they are this far along is amazing considering that 6 days ago,

Pittsburgh looked like this:

Taken out my family room window on April 1st.
