PITTSBURGH'S HEINZ CHAPEL

September 7, 2012

Carl and I were here for a wedding rehearsal and, as usual, I cannot resist photographing it.

I'm not doing a lot of commentary here on what is what or the history or significance of things.

All that is found in a 2007 winter album of Heinz HERE. So if you're interested, check that out.

(The Cathedral of Learning across from the chapel. It's a U. of Pittsburgh classroom building

and contains the Nationality Rooms...link at bottom of page)

(A rehearsal before our rehearsal was in progress when I went inside.  My personal secret spiral steps may be seen on the

right under the hanging light closest to the top edge of the picture.)

(My beloved spiral steps that few people notice. Several people today were industriously photographing practically every inch

inside and when I mentioned the steps, not one of them had noticed them. That's probably because they are MY secret spiral steps!)

Carl, waiting his time to begin.

Kathryn, Carl, and Mario

(This is a very long aisle and holds a lot of memories. I once walked down this aisle while the organ was playing with a son

on each arm, for instance.)
